Christmas just came early. I just discovered podcasts. Please don't spend too much time thinking about just how large the rock I live under is. I knew they existed, but I never really had time to listen/explore until now (because of work). I'm feeling so excited and overwhelmed by all that's out there. Please share your favorites and why!
  1. Serial
I was hooked when I originally started listening to the first season on NPR in the car... And now I can't wait to hear what unfolds about Bowe Bergdahl (being military, I have mixed feelings on the situation but admit there's a lot I don't know).
  2. The Moth
I have been to several live performances of The Moth, and one of my good friends is a pretty successful participant. I'm really excited to listen to these short stories told live on stage now that I am physically so far away a city that participates! So many good stories to catch up on.
  3. Women of the Hour
Um, it's @lenadunham & amazing women. I like to be inspired. Girl power?
  4. New Yorker: Fiction
I am down for anything with stories, especially short ones. I like to listen in the car and hate feeling like I'm left hanging all day when at work.
  5. Call Chelsea Peretti
    Unlike any other podcast.

  7. Cavern of Secrets
This was just released by a comic/friend of mine in Toronto, Lauren Mitchell. She is fully the funniest person I've met and is ridiculously smart. The podcast is super well produced and the first episode has Tavi Gevinson! 💯💯💯

  13. Dear Sugar Radio
Cheryl Strayed and Steve Almond give advice to people who write them asking for help. Always thoughtful and honest, sometimes brutal, occasionally funny, nearly always fantastic.

  14. Welcome to Nightvale
Fantastically creative, incredibly strange, hysterically funny and often disturbing local radio show from an incredibly strange (fictional) town located...somewhere in the desert...? This one is good for a podcast binge.

  15. This American Life.
Ok so maybe I'm just a big @npr nerd but the storytelling is great and so many podcasts have tried to emulate this one.

  16. @WNYC 's Radiolab
Obsessed with this. Great science communication and story telling. Jad Abumrad is an Oberlin grad (like @lenadunham) and has an amazing way with sound. Can't recommend this enough.

  17. Pop culture happy hour
Basically I freak out and dance whenever there is a new one (I'm not even embarrassed about five it anymore). Nerds talking about things that both nerds and non-nerds like + awesome book recommendations 💯
