Can't say where these are available since video stores are on the way out and not everything streams. Worth looking for. Information Edit: Some of these movies have elements/scenes that aren't mainstream 🎬
  1. 10 Items or Less - 2006
Morgan Freeman and Paz Vega meet at the grocery store where she works. He's an actor preparing for a film role. Really offbeat and strange. I've thought about it many times though only seeing it once. (Jonah Hill is in it, too but I don't remember him) ❤️❤️
  2. Conversations with Other Women - 2006
Helena Bonham Carter and Aaron Ekhart both attend a wedding. Two very attractive people showing us how flirting is done. Are they strangers or do they share a past? She does WHAT with her bridesmaids dress? ❤️❤️❤️
  3. Gideon's Daughter - 2006
On my short list of favorites. Emily Blunt, as the daughter and Bill Nighy, her father, - a strained relationship with her adulterous dad. Miranda Richardson plays a unconventional, free-spirit surviving a loss. You'll absolutely love it. Emily Blunt sings. ❤️❤️❤️
  4. A Walk on the Moon - 1999
Love this movie. I own both the movie & the soundtrack. Simply looking at this picture makes me want to watch it immediately. So very romantic. A scene with 'Who Knows Where the Time Goes' (Judy Collins) playing in the background might make you weep. Viggo Mortensen as (swoon) the Blouse Man and Anna Paquin as Diane Lane & Liev Schreiber's daughter. Woodstock and the 1969 Moon Walk figure prominently. ❤️❤️❤️ ❤️
  5. Strictly Ballroom - 1992
I'm always surprised at how many people have not seen this wonderful, crazy, romantic film. An awkward girl becomes involved in the world of competitive ballroom dancing. Oh, did I forgot to mention it's Baz Luhrmann's first film? ❤️❤️❤️
  6. Baghdad Cafe - 1987
A German film, which I did not know until just now. Woman argues with husband and hoofs it to the nearest town. Friendship forged with owner (C. C. H. Pounder) of the truck stop. Very strange ending with German woman so prepare yourself. ❤️
  7. California Suite - 1978
Movie based on stage play by Neil Simon. It's one of those movies where I really laugh. Michael Caine & Maggie Smith, Richard Pryor & Bill Cosby (he's so funny in this role but I understand if you can't watch him anymore) and Walter Matthau & Elaine May vignettes are hysterical. And Jane Fonda, who we now know & love from Grace and Frankie. ❤️❤️❤️
  8. Lovers and Other Strangers - 1970
Wacky families each from bride and groom side of the family, merge on the wedding days. Confusion ensues. Bonnie Bedelia is the bride before she was Mrs. John McClane in the Diehard franchise. 100% critics rated on Rotten Tomatoes. 🍅
