THINGS I LEARNED IN 2015

  1. Nobody likes being yelled at.
You can voice your frustrations and grievances in a way that doesn't make others feel small.
  2. What you allow is what will continue.
If you allow people to treat you poorly, they always will.
  3. People who show up for you, listen, and make you laugh, are people worth keeping around.
  4. Nothing worth having comes easy.
    Chase your dreams, be resilient.
  5. Life has different seasons. Embrace the season you're in.
  6. People will always do more than expected when they feel appreciated and cared about.
  7. You'll be surprised by who shows up for you / takes care of you.
  8. Try to be kinder than you feel.
Life is hard enough without the added hatefulness.
  9. Trust your feelings
  10. Forgiveness is for you, not anybody else.
    Also-- forgiveness doesn't mean reentry.
  11. Put your phone away
If people are giving up their time to be with you, you owe it to them to be fully present.
  12. Forever isn't realistic.
People grow in different directions, things change, paths alter, and forever isn't real.
  13. There is strength in vulnerability.
Owning our story can be one of the most powerful things we can do.
