Paris Photos

I have no words that haven't been said. Only that Paris is my favorite city in the world. It is light, it is magic, & I will love it always. I've seen a lot of people sharing photos of their time/trips to the city, so thought we could all share our own: a small glimmer of happiness on such a dark day.
  1. 8th grade: my parents sent me on a school trip. How lucky was I to have such parents? The older woman was my French teacher, Madame Koban.
  2. College at a boulangerie.
  3. 2011: the first time we took our kids. Pure magic.
  4. 2013: they loved it so much, we returned a few summers later. I remember feeling so elated that my kids shared my passion for the city, and my husband remarked that he wasn't sure he had ever seen me happier.
  5. 1st wedding anniversary, 2012 (and our third time in Paris together). I don't have many photos on my phone, but this is Paris. Love the cafes and people watching. Today, my heart breaks.

My first time in Paris was magical. I had fairly high expectations, but also some trepidations. We stayed in an Air BnB flat so we could really absorb Parisian life, and the people of Paris could not have been more welcoming, helpful, and kind. The museums and the food were sublime. I'll never forget it ❤️

  11. 2011. I went by myself. Mid-heartbreak. In Paris! I dined by myself, but I never felt alone.

  12. I love Paris so so much and been there so many times (last time this August) that I stopped counting. I'm sad and terrified because of what has happened, but I just got the information that all of my friends there are okay and I'm so relieved.

  15. 6 weeks ago I went for the 1st time
My sister and I explored some of Europe together, hopping through Paris for a quick 48hrs. We enjoyed beautiful weather and laughed at my fear of speaking French (even though I speak it). Can't wait to go back. All my love goes out to that wonderful city and its beautiful people.

I had the most beautiful day alone in the Luxembourg gardens in Paris last year. It had been a dreary day and the sky magically cleared up when I reached the gardens
