Non US Female comedy movies

  1. I'm doing a big project on modern, female driven, or prominently featuring a woman, comedies
  2. for the project I need two movies that aren't made in the United States or by an American film company
  3. do you guys have any suggestions?
  4. I love a french author/director and above comedian Valerie Lemercier, her first movie Le Derrière is great : a girl pretending to be a boy to connect with her finally found father ; or maybe more modern is Palais Royal a kind of parody of Buckingham Palace with also catherine Deneuve as The Queen as she must be

  5. For a kind of Bridget Jones (single girl etc) comedy one of the most recent one is Josephine (the 2nd came out this year) it's adapted from a cartoons and Marilou berry is a very famous french comedy actress daughter of an even more famous french actress and writer but not sure her moms movies would be recent enough for you

  6. LE bal des actrices
TBH I didn't see it but it seems to fit your theme : made by maiwenn (polisse) it's a fake documentary about a director following all kind of actresses (incredible casting all stars)

  12. Man Up
British romantic maybe not foreign enough. Hilarious but mature and grounded. 10/10 recommend to watch.
