SOMETIMES I WONDER HOW I'VE MANAGED TO SURVIVE UP TO THIS POINT

  1. Let me begin by stating facts.
  2. I am 26 years old and I have been a lawyer for almost two (2!!!) years now. I think I'm pretty good at what I do and I take pride in my attention to detail when it comes to work-related things.
  3. But
  4. Over the weekend I noticed that my eyes have been dryer than usual.
  5. So I just kept putting eye drops in my eyes over the weekend
  6. I thought I was just tired, or hungover, or that I overslept
  7. I even wore glasses on Sunday, because my vision is crap
  8. On Monday morning, when I was getting ready to go to work, I looked at my contact lens case and saw that the right one was uncovered and that both contacts weren't there
  9. I was out drinking with my girlfriends last Friday night and was pretty wasted, so I figured that when I took my contacts out when I got home I was too drunk to put them back in the case
  10. So anyway I opened a new pack of contacts and put them on
  11. The entire day my right eye kind of hurt a bit, but it felt better whenever I would put in eyedrops
  12. Until I got back to the office after a meeting and decided to take my contacts off
  13. Lo and behold
  14. I PUT CONTACT LENSES OVER MY CONTACT LENSES THAT I HAVE BEEN WEARING SINCE FRIDAY MORNING
  15. It is amazing how I am not blind
  16. Actually I am amazed how I am still alive at this point in my life, because this is not the first time something like this has happened to me.
    Hashtag blessed.
