MY FAVORITE L.A. AREA HIKES

  1. Temescal Canyon
Pacific Palisades. Ocean views. Woodsy views. Gorgeous sunset views on the ocean!
  2. Griffith Park
Perfect views of downtown LA and the HOLLYWOOD sign. Hike up to the Observatory and spend some time learning about the universe.
  3. Franklin Canyon
Beautiful little lake and pond. Make a loop around both for a short hike or head over to the higher trails.
  4. Rancho Palos Verdes
Ocean views abound! On a clear day, you can see Catalina Island.
  5. Devil's Punchbowl
Interesting terrain, colorful rock layers, mountain views.
  6. O'Melveny Park
On clear days, fantastic views of the San Fernando Valley and surrounding mountains.
  7. Solstice Canyon
Lots of varied terrain. Some ocean views. The most interesting hike takes you down by Roberts Ranch House that burnt to the ground during wildfires in 1982. The most lovely part is the waterfall and the hike up to the grotto.
  8. Charmlee
Beautiful Malibu! Ocean views, interesting rock formations, and in one part, a prairie-like feel. I often want to run across that part singing "The hills are alive..."🎶
  9. Eaton Canyon
The best part is hiking to the waterfall!
  10. Malibu Creek
I love coming to this spot! So peaceful.
