FAVORITE PLACES I HAVE BEEN

please suggest, geotag, add a photo and tell me about it! I'm in wanderlust mode.
  1. Vernazza, Cinque Terre, Italy
hiking to and emerging in this car-free (and also carefree) town is like walking through a picture frame and into a perfect dream. I'd happily drink this kool aid any day of the year.
  2. San Cristobal, Galapagos, Ecuador
not sure I've ever been happier than when underwater surrounded by these guys, penguins and more. is it even possible to be doing something cooler? no.
  3. Oak Bluffs, Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts
There is an island off the coast of Massachusetts that is sweeter than Main St and prettier than anywhere you've been in this country. Secret tall grass beaches, lighthouses, and peanut covered pubs. Bring your bike.
  4. Kauai, Hawaii
when I'm done with civilization forever, this is where I want to live. eating all the taro, hiking all the waterfall trails.
  5. South Haven, Michigan
I grew up spending summers on this side of Lake Michigan, buying fireworks and rollerskating for miles from home. the illusion of safety & the perfect shore. bonus points: superman ice cream from Sherman's. extra bonus points: whoever sold their copy of There's Nothing Wrong With Love by Built to Spill to the local pawn shop, which I bought and loved immediately, age 13
  6. Paris
it just makes you lighter on your feet. never doesn't feel like a perfect postcard. also: I did the Paris roller (google it)
  7. Little Compton, Rhode Island
favorite beach. I lived in RI for 8 yrs & this i deeply miss.
  8. your turn!
  9. Maui, Hawaii
Best family vacation spot if you like to relax on or near a beach & do nothing.

  10. San Francisco
I'm biased but we have the best weather in the world and so much nature we're almost bored by it.

  11. Seville, Spain
Lovely city near the Gulf of Cádiz. I was there during a crazy Brazilian liberation festival. The entire place shut down for a massive party in the streets

  12. Neuschwanstein Castle, Germany
In Bayern (Bavaria). The castle is stunning but I wanted to share the view. It is breathtaking and well worth the long walk up.

It has a small town vibe, is coastal, and has a castle. It's homey, quaint, cozy, and beautiful.

  16. Île-de-Ré, France
Island on the west coast of France. Big, sandy beaches on the south coast, oyster farms and "artisanal towns" on the north coast, and vineyards in the middle.

  17. Innsbruck, Austria
Picturesque and nestled at the foot of the Alps, with year round outdoor activities, great beer, delicious food, and the nicest people!

Cliché but it's just amazing. The beautiful skyline to the many different people you see on the street, favourite city!

  19. The Amazon, Peru
We hiked through virgin forests, fished piranha for our dinner, and built our shelter with fallen branches and leaves. You'd be amazed how expensive that trip was.
