WINTER IS COMING: HOW TO BACK UP AND EXPORT YOUR LISTS

  1. thank you to BJ and the developers for building what was the best place on the internet.
seriously. the people on List are the best and brightest.
  2. i know i'm not the only one who invested a lot of time and creativity here.
  3. so i'm troubled at how over the past year, the app has been gutted.
what is the point? who does it serve, if not thoughtful and creative people who like to revise their work (drafts), curate (relist), and create safely (can't save your lists but you can save other people's images)?
  4. so i ask: seriously, does anyone know how to export your content?
  5. I'd like to keep my lists safe, publish them elsewhere or just have access to them.
and based on changes made, I don't think this platform is demonstrating a will to thrive.
  6. But i don't want my content to disappear like so much else here has.
  7. How are you backing up your lists?

  9. I just now went through and took screenshots of my best lists. It's all I can think to do now that it looks like this ship is sinking fast.

  10. I had a bunch of screenshots from the last time I worried this would happen, but I have over 500 lists, lots that are long and involved so it's not necessarily practical.
I have nothing else, but a good export strategy would be appreciated

  11. I asked about exporting before when I was trying to turn some lists into writing samples and the answer was to copy and paste into Word

  16. Same as @DawnCloud except you can also print to PDF or save the HTML.
