Best advice I've ever received

  1. Have the courage to write the way I speak
  2. Never shame someone
  3. Never give ultimatums
  4. Don't use superlatives (for example: you don't know he's the GREATEST guy in the world because you haven't met EVERY guy in the world.)
  5. Use caution with binary pronouncements (good or bad, right or wrong, there are always shades of grey)
  6. Apply to the school of my choice even though I thought it was out of my reach
  7. Without fail, put the health and welfare of a child before any and all other considerations.
