IS IT NORMAL

  1. To regularly wake up with your heart racing, feeling a little bit panicked before you're even properly awake?
    (I write. From home. For myself. It's not that I'm running late to get anywhere.)
  2. The internet has only been kind of helpful on this one-- seems to be a symptom of anxiety and sleep apnea.
    Pretty sure I don't have sleep apnea. I've never been clinically diagnosed but I am quite anxious and have a lot of the OCD traits that look to me like anxiety's neighbors (i.e., deep concern with spiritual and moral rightness).
  3. My habits aren't perfect--I could stand to sleep more and I'm sure most doctors would frown at my ice cream intake. But I work out 3-4x/week, walk as my main form of transportation, and drink 2-3L of water a day.
  4. This is just a weird, weird way to wake up. Anyone else?
