My Ranked Oscar Best Picture Noms

100% based on my opinion after watching all the nominated films.
  1. 1.
One of the best films I've seen in a while, it's interesting, great plot line, universal issue, excellent acting and it's well made, definitely the best in this category 📰
  2. 2.
This was a film I didn't expect to enjoy as much as I did. Story wise, the fact that it was told by the POV of the little boy makes it so unique, showing us how a child deals with such atrocities . We rarely get stories like these told by people of who this is all they know. Also the acting in here is 💯
  3. 3.
    The Big Short
For me the biggest selling factor of this film is in the way that the story is told, they weirdly explained the mortgage financial crisis in a way that one can understood, also the insert of narration, breaking of the forth wall and shirt inserts of celebrities explaining difficult concepts just makes it excellent.
  4. 4.
    Mad Max: Fury Road
Definitely the most cinematically beautiful film, and one of those that you know is pushing boundaries as you watch it. Never over Charlize's snub for Best Actress though.
  5. 5.
    The Martian
Great cast, good concept and great chemistry between characters, also Matt Damon's solo scenes were hilarious. But I still don't think it was a stand out excellent film
  6. 6.
This is definitely a fave of mine in as a film that I would rewatch, filmatically it's not as good as The Martian, The Big Short etc but coming of age story is beautiful and so well written, also Sairose is a vision.
  7. 7.
    The Revenant
While I can appreciate the beautiful cinematography of this film, and the excellent performances of Leonardo DiCaprio, Tom Hardy and Domhnall Gleeson, it wasn't my fave film and don't find it to be the best overall as well
  8. 8.
    Bridge of Spies
While an interesting story, the film is simply not in a league with the others in this category and rides a lot on Tom Hanks and Mark Rylance's performances.
