1. Quadrophenia
  2. Who's Next
The worst song on this album (Won't Get Fooled Again) hit #9 on the British pop charts. Baba O'Riley (the teenage wasteland song), Bargain, and Behind Blue Eyes still have radio life today, but every track on this record is a hit. The Song is Over and Getting in Tune and Going Mobile are particularly strong. Even the songs that didn't make the cut until the reissued release added them as bonus tracks are really good (Pure and Easy, Water, Naked Eye).
  3. Live at Leeds
It's incredible the way a live performance from The Who transforms Magic Bus and A Quick One While He's Away from bland filler into stomach shaking rock masterpieces. Don't even bother listening to the studio versions of those songs. The tracks from Tommy are quite good here too.
  4. Tommy
  5. The Who Sell Out
  6. My Generation
  7. A Quick One
  8. It's Hard
Ahead of the other later albums (Who Are You, Face Dances) because it has 2 memorable songs instead of just one. Athena and especially Eminence Front are interesting and good.
  9. Live at the Isle of Wight Festival
  10. Who Are You
  11. Face Dances
