Ideas from a teacher who has been out in the wild for one year. The three types-- the I can't, I won't, and for better or worse, the I did that thing that was either good/bad and I'll claim it.
  1. 1.
The I CANT person is that type of kid who never tries and never will. I feel like the I can'ts either come from a very lazy place or a very defeatist place... Either way, Es no Bueno.
  2. 2.
The I WONT is the type who simply doesn't care and they will let you know every chance they get. I WONT DO IT AND YOU CANT MAKE ME.
  3. 3.
The I SAID THOSE THINGS, I DID THOSE THINGS type is equal parts good and frustrating. This is the kid who is going to do what they want-good or bad- and own it and accept the consequences//rewards.
  4. 4.
Ironically, most adults fit in one of those. Also, this is mostly a joke.
