Full disclosure - I worked at Pixar for a little over 5 years
  1. Most Pixar movies take 4 to 6 years to develop, but most of the visual elements and animation are done in about a year and a half.
  2. Something from an upcoming Pixar movie is usually hidden in the current Pixar movie. For example, Nemo can be found in the background of Monsters Inc.
  3. On average, it takes about 8 hours to render one frame in the movie. There are 24 frames per second.
