One of my favorite icebreaker questions in a large group.
  1. AC/DC • Birmingham, AL
At 14 years old, it was the best decision I could possibly imagine. 😂 King's X was the opener.
  2. B-52s, July 1990, Cosmic Thing tour.
Ziggy Marley and the Melodymakers opened the show.

  8. Paul McCartney, in Paris 🇫🇷
I was a junior in high school and I'd just done a semester exchange program. My dad came to pick me up and hang for a week, and the concert happened to line up perfectly with our travel plans, so he took me!

  9. Rage Against the Machine opening up for Cypress Hill at a small venue in Detroit.
Zac shared some spoken word and connected with the audience for a while before they started. The best was CH bringing out two giant fingers holding a j and having it simulate being toked 😂I think the audience smoked out the building loll. But still amazing show for both acts.

  10. Cher in Columbia, SC
I was only fourteen so I had beg my dad for two solid weeks to take me. In the end, not only was seeing her worth all the begging and negotiating I had to do, but it turned out to be one of the only bright spots of a pretty horrific year.

  14. •Jonny Lang• Duluth, MN•
If you don't know who Jonny is, he's a blues guitarist who makes pained faces the entire time he's playing. He's somewhat of a guitar prodigy I guess. I had a major crush on him as a preteen. I think my whole family went to this show, along with my best friend, aunts, and maybe even my grandma? We knew his family through my aunt. I haven't listened to him in like 15 years. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

In Columbia, SC. Billy Mumy of Lost in Space was in the band. I was 15. A friend's mom took a vanful of 14-16 year olds. It was a giddy experience. Three years later I attended my 2nd concert—Iron Maiden—in the first row.
