Confession time: Movies I *have* actually seen

@andersun, if you unfollow me after this, I will stalk you.
  1. So, I was justifiably chastised for my lack of cinematic sophistication already, and now my secrets will likely have me (figuratively) burned at the stake.
    Sounds fun.
  2. Let's not so much talk about the movies I have SEEN, because let's get real, I don't live in a cave. Maybe we should just talk about the movies that have touched me in some way.
I warn you, I am fairly picky about what I watch. But, if you read my previous li.st, (a LR from @dudleyjoshua) you probably already know that. Confession time: I've never seen the following movies:
  3. Frankly, I'm really not much fun to watch them with..I tend to dissect..As in, "that would never happen", or, "this was terribly miscast"..
I do have a deep appreciation for how a movie is made. I pay attention not only to casting, but editing and cinematography, and a shitty soundtrack can ruin a movie for me. I would like to work for Danny Elfman, please!
  4. I have seen virtually every major Rom-Com.
Shocking, right? Sweet Home Alabama makes me happy, what can I say? And I've seen most every movie with Vince Vaughn. Legally Blonde, Raising Helen, How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days..and the obvious Tom/Meg movies, Sandra Bullock..
  5. Before you say, but wait, you like ROM-COMS, what do you know?!?
Sometimes I just want to laugh, or smile or cry and I don't care how it happens. That's why it's called entertainment!
  6. I'm certain I've seen every Disney film up until about 1997.
You wanna talk about Ariel or Belle, I'm your girl. Aladdin, Mulan? Bring it.
  7. I do like suspense/psychological thrillers that don't involve excessive blood shed. I enjoy courtroom drama..
Primal Fear is in my top ten. I liked Nightcrawler, The Gift, A Few Good Men. I mean, I saw Saving Private Ryan, and yeah, the acting was great, but I felt sick when it was over. I don't feel the need to do that very often..I was hellbent on watching The Departed, but it's a safe bet I actually saw very little of it, unless through your fingers counts.
  8. I do not subscribe to this theory. No thank you very much.
  9. That said, I have seen Schindler's List and The English Patient, A Beautiful Life, and a few other similar flicks that I liked.
  10. I also appreciate acting ability. I saw Ex-machina, and I thought Oscar Isaac and Alicia Viklander were amazing, though when the film was over I wasn't really sure how I felt about it.
The cinematography/special effects in the film was stellar.
  11. I liked Pirates of the Caribbean, Only the first, though.
I'm not sure I even saw the last one.
  12. I like a good love story..
The Notebook is a fave (I see you rolling your eyes, people)! When a Man Loves a Woman, a different kind of love story...Sweet, like, We Bought a Zoo.
  13. I like movies about food! Big Night, Like Water for Chocolate, Chocolat, The Hundred Foot Journey..and wine, like Sideways and Bottle Shock.
  14. Pollack. As in Jackson. A Beautiful Mind..
I have a deep appreciation for Ed Harris! They're both disturbing, but I enjoyed them.
  15. Trading Places, Robin Hood~Prince of Thieves, Waking Ned Devine, Whiplash, Contraband, Bad Words💜
  16. Travel scenery pics like, P.S. I Love You, Eat Pray Love..
Though it was depressing, the cinematography in Legends of the Fall was 👌🏻
  17. Coming of age stories like Juno and Save the last Dance, Dirty Dancing..
  18. Pretty much any movie Dwayne Johnson's in, (minus San Andreas👎🏻)
  19. Ridiculous blockbusters like Anchorman, Bridesmaids, Wedding Crashers..
  20. It's complicated🙌🏻 ~ Slumdog Millionaire👍🏻Room👏🏻Count of Monte Cristo🙌🏻Sleeping with the Enemy👌🏻Blood Diamond 👊🏻
Indie films like Tallulah and The Visitor.
  21. Movies that changed me..Oliver Twist, Old Yeller, To Sir With Love, Dracula, Don't be afraid of the Dark.
  22. Movies my kids grew up on..Pete's Dragon, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Mary Poppins, Pollyanna, Bedknobs and Broomsticks, along with the Disney flicks.
Most of the animated movies made between 1990 and 2000, I've likely seen.
  23. Does this get me off the hook..?
  24. I hesitated to make this li.st bc there are SO many I've left off and w/o drafts, it's daunting and it feels forced and not my best work, but here it is, in all it's inadequacy and now I'm tired and I'm sure it needs to be edited already but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ and now I need to work on the book li.st so this will have to do😱
I can't seem to hide my disdain for the latest update🙄🙄🙄
