30 Questions You Should Ask Yourself Before 2016

  1. What did you do this year that you're proud of?
    I finally left a job that I hated and found a job that gives me a schedule that helps me with my daughter, and is much more fun and interesting. It took a lot for me to leave what was comfortable to try something completely different. But in the end, it was the best thing to do
  2. Who did you meet this year that inspired you?
    My trainer at my new job. She taught us for about eight weeks, and she made me feel like I can do anything. She help me believe in myself even though I didn't understand what I was learning at the beginning. Plus she's following her dream and moving and leaving for the family behind to do it she wants to do. I always find that so great when people can do that.
  3. What did you read that you think bettered to you?
    Yes, please! By Amy Poehler. Absolutely made me take a look at my life and work on some things.
  4. What are songs that you will always hear and think of this year even when you're listening on some contraption that hasn't been invented yet?
    Uptown funk, I can't feel my face, and anything by Taylor Swift
  5. What were some times that you laughed so hard that you could barely breathe?
    I would say, aside from watching John Mullaney's new stand up, every Friday during my training class at work when it was almost time to go home and we were all just loopy and having fun and having great conversations
  6. What were your favorite movies? Not what was good, not what you had to see because of your friends or the media. What were your favorites?
    Tomorrowland, Antman, Jurassic World, Star Wars: the force awakens, inside out
  7. What are some fears that you had at the beginning of the year that you overcame?
    Dying alone

    For some of the year, I attempted to eat healthily. I also joined a gym, and attempted to go regularly. I failed at both things. But I tried
  10. What are things you want to see more of next year?
    Kindness. The world needs more kindness. Personally, I hope that I see more happiness, more joy.
  11. What are five things you did that you never thought you would actually do?
    Quit my job, started to feel OK about my divorce, left Verizon wireless after 13 years, tried seafood, actually saved a good amount of money
  12. What were your favorite things this year?
    Every minute with my daughter. Seeing Disney on ice with her, celebrating events with her. Everything. She is my world
  13. What are the most important things you learned this year?
    I learned that it's OK to take chances. I learned that it's OK to open up a little bit. I can let myself be sad sometimes, but not let it take over.

    I take a ton of candid pictures of my daughter while she's playing. Any of them

    Please support me. Please give me space. Please allow me to be myself. Please help me grow. Please don't ever leave me

    Physical places? I honestly can't think of any. 😟
  17. Where do you feel most yourself?
    Believe it or not, around my friends at work. They've only just met me, so I don't have to be fake or what they expect me to be. I can just be me. Also when I'm with my friends outside of work. But they can have expectations sometimes
  18. What were your favorite meals?
    I took my daughter to Chili's ones. I've never seen a kid so excited to eat chips and salsa and my life. So we've made it kind of a monthly tradition to go get lunch at Chili's and have the chips, and then have a big dessert together
  19. How did you calm yourself in times of stress?
    Often times I didn't. When I was able to calm myself down, it was through deep breathing. Or, believe it or not, planning or thinking about my upcoming Disney trip. It's kind of like my happy place
  20. What are some complements you received that deeply affected you?
    I was told that I have a beautiful soul. That might be the nicest thing anyone is ever said to me.
  21. Who are the people you believe are bringing out the best in you?
    Is it messed up that I want to say you guys on this app? Is that strange? I am more open, honest, and myself with you guys then anyone else in my life. And writing, and sharing, and speaking, and getting your feedback has helped me be better
  22. What item of clothing did you buy that felt the most you?
    I have no answer for this. I did not buy anything exciting
  23. What are you excited about leaving behind in 2015?
    Sadness. I'm hoping for a fresh start.
  24. What are five things that you were hard on yourself about but would never have been hard on a friend if they were experiencing it?
    My weight. My loneliness. Not standing up for myself in certain situations. Getting walked all over. Not living in the moment.

    Take a chance. If you're not happy where you are, change it.

    Don't ever give up. Believe in yourself and you'll succeed.
  27. What things have you been putting off doing because you haven't had the time?
    Writing.
  28. What are some things that you would like to focus and work on next year?
    Be less lonely. Rely less on others to make me happy. Be happy with myself. Realize that just because I'm not with someone, that doesn't mean I can't have a fulfilling life right now
  29. What are the best parts of you that you feel really showed through this year?
    My positivity. It may not seem like I'm positive from what I write, but in my heart I truly like to believe the best in everyone. Maybe it's naïveté, not positive
  30. What are your biggest hopes for 2016?
    I hope I get healthier. I eat better, exercise, overall take care of myself. I also hope that I have some happiness. More then to the other 15.
