The throwbacks to the heyday of cartoons (late 80s/early 90s, duh). My of current shows' awesomeness here: Awesome Children's Show Theme Songs: Now

Knowing all the words to this song was like wearing a badge of honor to many 11 year olds. So many adult pop culture references! My kids love the tune too. Upon watching the DNC this year, my daughter saw Bill Clinton and exclaimed, "Oh! He plays the sax!" And I shed pop culture parenting tears of joy. 🎷

Obviously the king of all animated theme songs, forever and ever amen. Set the bar high for the fine Disney theme songs that came after. It is SO FUN to sing along. Even though I still have no idea what the last few lines are. D-d-d-danger is my middle name. πŸ’°πŸ’°πŸ’°

Where in the World Is Carmen Sandiego?
Geographical learning? βœ… Sick acapella harmonies? βœ… Puns (she put the miss in misdemeanor)? βœ… Hit it, Rockapella! 🌍

    Muppet Babies
The banner song that exalts using imagination to conquer your fears! I love it when characters of the show sing their own theme song. Sweet do-wop inspired harmonizing, baby Piggy 🐸🐷

No lyrics. But fun do-do-dos and little weirdo sound effects courtesy of Skeeter. Sounds like the kind of thing a needy talented kid would make up while walking home from school. Let's also give a nod to show song that got a lot of use, I Need Mo' Allowance by The Beets 🎀

Hey Sandy from The Adventures of Pete & Pete
No one really knew what these guys were saying. The band Polaris sounds like a tiny little indie band from the early 00s β€” a perfect match for this oddball little show with so much heart. My 10 yr old intro to cool music that wasn't on the radio or in my dad's album collection. They actually made a whole album of songs for the show that we're all used in various episodes. I highly recommend checking it out (Spotify, iTunes, you can find it anywhere) πŸ’ƒπŸ½

Those above are my faves, but honorable mention goes to:
Tailspin, Jem & the Holograms, Gummi Bears, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
