1. Whilst dropping off my kids at school, I spied a 5th grade boy engrossed in a book...
...while he was walking with his buddy (another boy, who silently stayed in step). That book was a Babysitters' Club graphic novel. My heart sang.
  2. I was talking with a client (5th grader) about what people assume about him vs what they would know if they got to know him, using the iceberg metaphor that most of it is hidden.
He said he's the class clown but he doesn't want to be anymore. He wrote, "people think I'm funny. I'm actually very kind, sometimes I get emotional, and I have great sportsmanship." 😭 #whyisocialwork
