  1. Nevermind by Nirvana
The first cassette tape I ever bought back in Jr. High in the 90's. Grunge really did capture the feeling and angst of growing up as a teen in the 90's and this album was my theme music.
  2. Ten by Pearl Jam
While Nirvana appealed to my angst as a teen, Pearl Jam appealed to my soul. Songs like Jeremy and Alive were poppy but soulful and rocked like Hendrix. Pearl Jam had such an eclectic sound and Ten inspired me as a young musician.
  3. The Wall by Pink Floyd
I had never heard a concept album before The Wall and I've never heard one since, that compares to The Wall. In an era of streaming singles the art of writing a cohesive narrative across an entire album is a lost art and I was lost in the powerful, theatrical imagery of this mesmerizing album.
