Three odd things people wrongfully assume about me

I'd like to think I'm easy to read, but judging from certain encounters I've had with people that must not be the case
  1. 1.
    That I'm not American
People literally never guess I'm American, they always pair me with Germany or a more Northern European country. But even when I talk to people they assume I'm foreign. Some people have gone so far as to say they can "barely hear my accent". You can BARELY hear my accent? I'm from suburban Connecticut, I don't have an non-American accent! This got so bad that for the first four months at a new school everyone thought I was a German exchange student. For FOUR MONTHS
  2. 2.
    That I'm an orphan
For 5th-9th grade I attended a school out of town that required me to take a train to class every morning. I guess I must have seemed independent because people began to spread a rumor that I was an orphan who lived in NYC and inherited a lot of money from my late parents and decided to attend school in Connecticut. In reality I'm a middle child in a family of 6 (including two parents)
  3. 3.
That I'm a stone cold bitch
I mean I get it. It's the resting face, but I promise I'm pretty nice.
