All American boys by Jason Reynolds and Brendan Kiely
Powerful book that belongs in all the high schools and all the hands of all the children about police brutality and systemic racism. I first read Jason Reynolds this past winter and I'm on a mission to read all his books in 2017.

March by John Lewis, Andrew Aydin, and Nate Powell
If you haven't read this yet or gifted it to everyone you know, let's remedy that immediately, my friends. I read book 1 and 2 this weekend, and it is powerful and makes this history and the indomitable actions of John Lewis and our civil rights leaders accessible to so many.

Lithuanian born American artist. Love his line work. Leaving out paintings and photography so I can just obsess over his drawings.
I caucused yesterday! It was fun and crowded and I'm so happy there was a band. I have plans to draw more or make a zine or something but my hand hurts so here you go. Hooray for democracy πŸŽ‰
