GREAT SAN FRANCISCO URBAN HIKES
Great hikes in SF city proper. Bring your own bottle of water and stop on the way to buy snacks at any random liquor store.
- •Noe valley to Twin PeaksStart at 25th street and walk west. Climb a series of stairs and walk through random hillside neighborhood. Suddenly find yourself on exposed hillside and dirt trail overlooking all of San Francisco with panoramic views.
- •Pacific Heights to Lands EndWalk through pacific heights to lands end. Follow the nature trail up and around with magnificent views of the coast. If you time it right can see a ship wreck at low tide. End at sutro baths. Make sure to find the secret cave at the bottom of the baths right by the ocean. Take Uber or lyft line home (depending on how chatty you feel)
- •Mission to Mr and Mrs MiscAnything with this much alliteration has to be a winner. Walk down 24th street and check out the merged hipster/salvadorian food scene. Buy at least one pupusa or tamale along the way. When 24th st ends cross freeway on 23rd and climb hills. These hills are steep. Cut through Rec center and sudden random greenery. Head to 22nd street and eat best ice cream in SF at mr and mrs misc in Dog Patch. Call ahead as they are often closed.
- •Golden Gate Park to Ocean BeachStart at Fulton and 29th, then cut through the park and get cinnamon toast at Trouble Coffee at 43rd and Judah. Walk a few blocks down to the beach.Suggested by @gabimoskowitz
