MY STRUGGLES COOKING WITH RICE PAPER

I really want to master the art of using rice paper in my cooking - it is cheap and so versatile! But alas, I struggle deeply with these issues when I'm facing a package of rice paper wraps.
  1. They rip when wet
  2. They are slimy AND sticky AND slidey all at the same time
  3. I can tuck them properly and the innards sneak out
  4. A clean, dry surface gets wet every time I put down a new rice wrap on it
  5. Looking for tips, please
