Because he died of cancer, not an overdose or accident or something you expect young people to die from. A reminder that life is fragile. Also such an amazing talent and activist.

Leroi Moore, sax player with Dave Matthews Band. When a coworker told me he'd died I cried in front of her. I'm still heartbroken.

I don't even know why this one gets me so much because I wasn't really a fan of his show. I actually cried though, which isn't something I do over celebrities often (I only got teary over Carrie and Anton, and those ones not me hard). I still get sad thinking about it. I think I was even sadder over his loved ones' reaction to his death.

We were just too close in age and he had JUST finished rehab. He couldn't have OD'd, I'm in total denial and it's been over 2 years now. The timing of him dying mere days before the Parks and Rec finale just made it more surreal. πŸ˜”

I just wonder what kind of career he'd have today. I loved the heart and joy he brought to his characters. (I miss Robin Williams and Phil Hartman too.)
