Portland is not only a beer mecca, but is quickly becoming inundated with cider makers and cider shops, and I've tried A LOT of cider. Feel free to suggest your favorite.

    I've only had two ciders from the state side that can compare. Those were from Logsdon and Outcider and they are no longer in production. The style is similar to a wild fermented sour beer. The sourness and bitterness are subtle. The flavor to celebrate is a "funkiness" from the wild fermentation. Other than that, it's just very drinkable and feels good in the mouth, with or without charcuterie. Probably hard to find and not cheap, but I buy one every chance I get.
