I dropped the ball last month, I know.
  1. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2
I've pretty much sworn off of superhero movies but I had an AMC gift card and GOTG was the last Marvel movie I actually enjoyed so I got out and saw this today. I was not expecting a whole lot but tbh I was still a little disappointed. There were some fun moments, the soundtrack was awesome, and baby Groot was adorable but there was a lot in this sequel that fell flat for me.
  2. Captain Fantastic
With the exception of Viggo Mortensen's Oscar nomination, this was another 2016 movie that kind of flew under the radar. I was not sure what to expect going into this but I really liked it by the end. It's a unique and beautiful film about what it means to raise a family. Mortensen was amazing but the kids were great as well. There's also a really good balance of humor and emotion in this movie. It's worth checking out!
  3. Me Before You
Surprise surprise. I hated the book and I hated the movie too lmao. I will say, I like Emilia Clarke and Sam Clafin. They had good chemistry. The beginning bits were cute. I just wish they could have been together in a romantic movie that wasn't completely fucked.
