    Beyoncé completely annihilated her performance of songs from "Lemonade", complete with fire, unbelievable costumes, and moving poetry from Warsan Shire. Bey ended up leaving with the most awards of any artist, including the coveted Video of the Year award for "Formation".

    Alicia Keys, who performed at the 2013 Global Citizen Festival, made the bold decision to ditch makeup at this year's VMAs. The singer decided to commit to a makeup-free life style and has been defending her decision: "I don't want to cover up anymore. Not my face, not my mind, not my soul, not my thoughts, not my dreams," she said.
