What's Japanese Breakfast Like?

To be totally honest, I'm not exactly sure what everything I ate was but I do know one thing...IT WAS INCREDIBLE. Go to Okomoni in Brooklyn if you can!

    This one is a miso carrot soup. YUM!

    Next, a coddled eggs and hot rice.
    You make a well in the rice and stir in the egg. The hot rice cooks the egg and you have a warm, eggy rice dish.

    Roasted fish. Some beets. A custard-like omelette square. Pickled veggies. Mustard greens. Broccoli rabe with ginger. It was all incredible!
