1. Far From the Madding Crowd by Thomas Hardy
Can't stop telling people how amazing this book is. Totally engrossing, beautifully worded, represents the joy, sorrow, and humor of being a human. Also...the ending is real satisfying.
  2. The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss
This was recommended by a friend. Read the inside of the cover and thought it was going to be nerdy. Turned out it was just the right amount of nerdy. Was late to work twice because I made the mistake of opening it during breakfast.
