WHAT I WANTED TO BE GROWING UP, CHRONOLOGICALLY
I was a very single-minded child.
- •A pediatric oncologistAge five/six to fourteen/fifteen. This ended when I realized that I didn't want to do the math and science a premed major would have to do. I was bad at math and science-math. I was only good at biology.
- •A psychologistFifteen to about sixteen/seventeen. I was coming to terms with being depressed and I wanted to help other people.
- •English professorSeventeen-ish to present. I went into undergrad declared in English and never changed. Now I'm getting my masters. It's a long road ahead.
