1. This list is about Savannah. She is 7 and has Mitochondrial Disease. Here is her family's description:

  2. I met her about three weeks ago, when a friend and I brought her some gifts on behalf of our nonprofit during her weekly transfusion at the clinic.
    Image
She has another infusion at her house each week.
  3. She was dressed like Laura Ingalls Wilder!
I used to be (still am) obsessed with those books, so I got it right away.
  4. After talking with her and her mom for a few hours, we learned she dresses up as a new character EVERY WEEK to give her strength and motivation to power through it (and to just keep things fun).
Having the photoshoots take up time during the infusions, too, since they're usually there 12 or so hours.
  5. Here are some of the characters/people she's been, in no particular order:
Everything taken from her public pages linked below! Sorry if the picture quality it low, they saved to my phone that way.

  26. I promise I didn't include ALL her costumes!
Just most because I couldn't decide which were the best.
  27. I wanted to share this because it's so important that young girls have female characters to look up to and be a source and inspiration for their strength - just like young boys do.
Savannah is all about "Fighting Like A Girl!" It's what keeps her going until a cure is found.
