Reasons Women Should Audibly Claim Their Beauty

What πŸ‘πŸΌ you πŸ‘πŸΌ say πŸ‘πŸΌ mattersπŸ‘πŸΌ
  1. β€’
Let me start by giving my credentials: I am a woman. I gave birth to a soon to be woman. I love women.
  2. β€’
Now let me tell you why women are driving πŸ‘πŸΌ meπŸ‘πŸΌ crazy πŸ‘πŸΌ
  3. β€’
I work in an industry that focuses on bodies. It's a casual side job, but I love it. I have experienced a huge life change in the past year and lost 40 lbs. I encourage other women (and really, men) to take care of themselves by exercising and eating well.
  4. β€’
I also encourage women to love themselves in the process but y'all- so many women are broken.
  5. β€’
They believe that little voice that tells them that they're fat, when they aren't. Or if they are fat, they believe that this means they aren't beautiful or worthy.
  6. β€’
    It's hard.
  7. β€’
I hear women all the time disparage their bodies and themselves out loud. Often in front of their young, impressionable girls.
  8. β€’
Yesterday, I was watching a friends little girl who asked me why I didn't wear make up. I told her that I do sometimes and I don't sometimes, it depends on how I feel that day.
  9. β€’
This sweet seven year old said to me "Yeah, you don't really need it. My mom needs it."
  10. β€’
Did she mean that she thought her mother wasn't beautiful? No. she was simply restating what her mother had told her.
  11. β€’
I corrected her and told her that no one needs make up. All women are beautiful. Make up is for fun and for your enjoyment only.
  12. β€’
    Ladies! Wake up!
  13. β€’
You can NOT raise a confident woman from a girl whose mother disparages herself.
  14. β€’
Do not talk about your body.
She's probably going to have a similar body.
  15. β€’
Do not tell her you "need" make up.
    She probably looks like you.
  16. β€’
Don't think that you can compliment your daughter out one side of your mouth and speak unkindly about yourself out the other.
  17. β€’
    She's smarter than that.
  18. β€’
And that's not even saying what kind of damage you're doing to your sons. 😭
  19. β€’
Please, even if you have to choke out the words- say that you are beautiful. Admire your positive attributes.
  20. β€’
Say out loud that you are pretty- at the very least don't correct people when they compliment you.
  21. β€’
If you don't like your body at this moment, compliment what it's capable of.
  22. β€’
"My body is strong! My body is soft for you to cuddle with. My body gave birth to you, I'm so grateful for that gift."
  23. β€’
The world is going to feed young girls lots of negative things to fixate on- but your voice is the loudest.
  24. β€’
Use it to say that you are beautiful.
