I went to a rally in SF today and listened to really moving speeches.
  1. I'm an immigrant and it hurts to watch my brown brothers and sisters be denied safety and freedom based on religion or country of origin.
  2. Static
  3. Static
  4. I didn't take many photos, but there were so many great signs of inclusion and love.
  5. I started to cry when one speaker started to sing This Land is Your Land
  6. ...
  7. This land is your land,
  8. this land is my land
  9. From California to the New York Island
  10. From the Redwood Forest to the Gulf Stream waters
  11. This land was made for you and me.
  12. ...
  13. I don't know... it just transported me to learning this song as a kid.
  14. I didn't understand what it REALLY meant until this moment.
  15. I must have been 7 or 8. I wasn't a citizen then but learning the American anthems made me feel American.
  16. I want that for every refugee or immigrant that comes here for a better life.
  17. I want them to feel like they belong. Because they do.
  18. I want the world to know that there are people in this country that still believe in the words engraved on the Statue of Liberty.
