    Not the Outkast album... Used to be a punk band and have become more arena in the best way.

    An old band. Made use of strings on the reg to have a truly alternative sound.

    My favorite band, the new front runners of the Britpop sound.

    This woman has an amazing voice. Truly fantastic.

    They go from punk to synthetic and everything in between. Feminist and intense, Emily Haines is the best.

    Amazing guitar driven rock with a stronger not afraid of the high notes.

    Came together to beat the popular kids in a battle of the bands. They deserved to win. Punky but breezy.
  16. People in Planes
    Completely different sound. Started as a jazz band and definitely took that improvisational spirit with them to indie.

    Not much to say, just fun sounds.

    Fun, energetic music with some ska influence.

    Boy girl duo, dreamy but not without edge.
  20. Temper Trap
    Known for their Sweet Disposition, this band is so so much more.

    Taken from a PJ Harvey song, keyboard laden awesome lady rock.

    I don't really know how to explain them. They're good. Look them up.
  23. We Have Band
    Three people, two married and one other guy, all trade vocals in this electronic rock band. Awesomeness ensues.

    Ska isn't dead. This band has fun with it.
