FAVORITE WRITERS WHO ARE WOMEN AND WHO HAVE ALSO PROCREATED

Two criteria for this list. Suggestions welcome. Just to say it can be done.
  1. Shirley Jackson.
Four kids. Massive literary output including "The Lottery," still the most controversial piece of fiction ever published by @newyorker (her own mother hated it).
  2. Elisa Albert.
Read AFTER BIRTH. (Come back and thank me later.) Ok, you need convincing? From her interview with The Rumpus: "I conceived of this book as a sort of female war novel. Men are certainly not the enemy, but they are not part of the action. They’re safe back at home, so to speak, waiting faithfully for the women to return from the war. Some of the women won’t ever be the same. Etc."
  3. Barbara Kingsolver.
Even got her two daughters involved in her massively successful book ANIMAL. VEGETABLE, MIRACLE.
