1. It's a movie about a Lion yelling all the time and a zebra trying to find the meaning of life. It's great.
  2. It features the awe-inspiring song "I like to move it"
At every party I have to dance to this song at least once. My friends "hate" it when I do.
  3. Melman's long eyelashes confused me as to whether he was a boy or a girl?
This led to many sparking debates during recess.
He is in all honesty one of the greatest fictional characters of our time. I don't know how but he's so self aware AND a king. He's so great he has his own Netflix series.
  5. Sugar Hone Iced Tea
... Both kids and parents knew what was up. If you're uncultured and do not understand this reference, read the first letter of each word and see what adds up.
  6. Melman is exactly like Ross from Friends. (Aka voiced by David Schwimmer)
I can't describe what it really is but they're both annoying, not in a bad way, you feel? Also both of them think they're dying all the time, I don't get it.
  7. Madagascar 3
At one point Alex the lion wants to give up and there's this whole dramatic scene but then the circus tiger SWOOPS in and he's like if you give up then that's "Bullshi-vit". And in that moment the whole theatre gasped so loud because we thought that the circus tiger actually swore. It was so intense. I remember this so clearly because of how emotionally involved everyone in the theatre was with this movie.
  8. It's a movie about friendship
Alex could've killed Marty but didn't.
  9. Love and romance in its truest form
No other movie will tell you the story on how a giraffe could love a hippo.
  10. The voice actors
David Schwimmer, Jada Pinkett Smith, Ben Stiller and Chris Rock. They're all so funny together.
  11. Again, iconic.
