I'll Make a List About Making Lists

First change a "list request"/DM from Chris K to make it look like he requested this. Which in his heart he did.
  1. Start your list
It's right there in the prompt. Don't have a topic. Well try to start a fight with @bjnovak then. I would like stats about how many @bjnovak lists are generated each day. Hundreds? Thousands? Does he go from Wendy's to Wendy's fighting people?
  2. Add new item...
Technically this is what makes it a list. If you don't add a new item what you have is a blurb. A blurb about @bjnovak. You could probably tweet that but then you would have to set up a Twitter account. I don't know how to do that, I am not going to make a list about that. Although somebody probably should. Is Twitter on List App?
  3. Add new item...
This is a different item from the first new item. That first new item is now an old item.
  4. Add new item...
Still different from 3 items above. If you stop here the whole list will be readable from the main app screen that people see. But these little explanations will not be visible. People have to be intrigued enough to click on your list to read these explanations. What are you doing to make them click into your list?
  5. Add new item...
Again. You should be sensing a theme. You always add and never subtract. Add, always add. Add a picture I will show you how.
  6. Add new item...
This is a picture of the selection button I really wanted to select in the List App book exchange. I debated selecting "no" because I don't know can I make that promise? Can I read a book just because some person I have never met sent it to me because he doesn't want it anymore? Can I promise to become immersed in a book that has been around long enough for Chris K to buy it and then store it in a box? What if I already read it? What if I have already bought it and not read it? What if he sends
  7. Add new item...
    Middlemarch?
  8. Add new item...
I have maybe 3 different copies of this book. I have never read it in its entirety. I get it though. If I say I get it and we all just move on?
  9. Add new item...
"But the effect of her being on those around her was incalculably diffusive: for the growing good of the world is partly dependent on unhistoric acts; and that things are not so ill with you and me as they might have been is half owing to the number who lived faithfully a hidden life, and rest in unvisited tombs."
  10. Add new item...
See I get it. I am Dorothea.
  11. Add new item...
Everyone is. "But we insignificant people with our daily words and acts are preparing the lives of many Dorotheas, some of which may present a far sadder sacrifice than that of the Dorothea whose story we know." If you aren't one you help create one.
  12. Add new item...
Please @ChrisK do not send me Middlemarch. And to everyone else: Please if you haven't read Middlemarch do not think that by reading this list you have.
  13. Add new item...
"For there is no creature whose inward being is so strong that it is not greatly determined by what lies outside it."
  14. Add new item...
So what have we learned? Get a topic or pick a fight. Add to list, always add to list. There is no Twitter on List App. You can pretend to have read a book if you read the last page. This will be incredibly helpful for everyone who has to do book reports for Chris K in the future. Just copy the last page and you are good. You'll now have plenty of time to run that @Twitter account on List App.
  15. Add new item...
  16. Add new item...
  17. Add new item...
  18. Add new item...
  19. Add new item...
    You're still here?
  20. Add new item...
    It's over.
  21. Add new item...
    Go home.
