A shameless plug
  1. It's an adaptation of Moliere's Tartuffe
    7c6a4022 5570 4913 a32f 7c753e5fd322
But reworked so that it takes place in the present day, has a John Waters sensibility, and features 100% more cocaine, unplanned pregnancies, and Ted Cruz references than the original did.
  2. It's being produced by the brilliant Three Day Hangover theater company
    Dcf4e94b 02a0 4ba2 bd2f f1aea91fa6a5
They created the long-running off-Broadway hit, "Drunk Shakespeare," and lovingly produce very intelligent and well-acted yet unpretentious versions of classic plays. Also, there are drinking games and audience participation (the fun kind, not the anxiety-producing kind).
  3. I've been a huge fan of Three Day Hangover since I saw their version of "Romeo and Juliet," which was rechristened "R+J: Starcross'd Death Match"
    021f0c05 1b6b 49cc 84a9 a13712f6a864
It substituted flip cup battles for sword fighting duels
  4. There will be a full bar
    07ceef0e 0189 4441 b576 2a830012533a
Drinking isn't mandatory or anything, but there will be drinking games throughout the show.
  5. There are 12 performances
    3aa10cea 8f17 46ff a4cc 4f608a920e7c
It runs at 8 pm Wednesday through Saturday for the first three weeks of November.
  6. Tickets are only $15 and go on sale tomorrow
    8e31536b 30b8 4192 b146 2b094beaef9f
That's, like, really cheap! And you can buy them at www.threedayhangover.com
  7. I'm really nervous, but I think it's going to be fun
We have a fantastic TBA cast and a phenomenal director in Beth Gardiner
  8. I hope you can come!
Like, maybe it can be the funnest NYC list app meet up ever? Seriously, though, even if I don't technically "know" you, I'd be seriously honored if you could make it.
