This is not particularly close. Very meaningful to me as someone Max's age when I first saw it. In an unreal career, this may be Bill Murray's best role. Imagine someone else playing Herman?
  2. 2.
    The Royal Tenenbaums
One of Hackman's last roles before retirement, an amazing cast and unforgettable story.
  3. 3.
    The Grand Budapest Hotel
Fiennes has never been better. One of the most visually-stunning films I've ever seen.
  4. 4.
    Fantastic Mr. Fox
Anderson managed to adapt a story and animate it and it STILL felt like only he could have made the movie.
  5. 5.
    Moonrise Kingdom
The love of symmetrical shots was off the charts here. Fun overall and great performance by Willis.
  6. 6.
The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou
I always felt like Murray mailed this one in. A fun story for sure but not enough meat.
  7. 7.
    The Darjeeling Limited
Never really did much for me. Enjoyed Owen Wilson's performance the most.
  8. 8.
    Bottle Rocket
It's been a while since I've seen this one and I barely remember what it was about.
