i didn't realize these weren't normal until like, college. most are pretty useful.
  1. write personal contracts/promissory notes
    every time i wanted something big, i had to write a contract or promissory note with stipulations that i promised to fulfill...
  2. make budgets
    unfortunately my bank account doesn't reflect this (i'm all about that #treatyoself mentality) but my dad taught me how to do basic formulas in excel when i was 10 or 11. and also make excel spreadsheets pretty.
  3. make schedules down to the minute
    my daily routine, vacation itineraries, etc. it was so annoying as a kid who just wanted to go with the flow. however, as an adult, i get anxiety if i don't have a schedule or details for plans down pat. WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO ME DAD
