How to Cast a Write-in Vote for US President

With less than fifty days until the election, some people are faced with the reality of just not feeling moved to vote for any of the candidates offered on their state ballots. Here are some tips for those voters to still make their voices heard!

    Know your state's election rules!
    Election rules vary from state to state, so be sure to prepare yourself!

    Find your polling place!
    Be sure to look up the polling location servicing your area!
  3. 3.
    Bring a pen!
    Always come prepared! You never know how well stocked they'll be!
  4. 4.
    Locate the Write-in Section on the ballot!
    Before writing in your candidate's name, you will have to indicate that you are providing a write-in vote!

    Bring the pen to the ballot. Draw it towards the bottom, then hook to the left!

    To the right of that image, bring the pen across the page in a slow curve up, then down the page. Then make a closed loop with that line!

    To the right of that image, bring the pen I'm a gentle curve up, then down to a point below the original starting point and curve it gently down then back up!

    To the right of that image, bring the pen around in a complete circle on the page!

    To the right of that image bring the pen up in a short straight line, curve it gently up then down and complete it by going straight down!

    Slightly farther to the right of this image, bring the pen on a upward curve then gently back down, then bring the pen across to a point just below where you started and curve gently down and back up!

    To the right of that image, bring the pen down the page in a vertical line, then draw a smaller horizontal line just above the middle of the first line!

    To the right of that image, bring the pen across the page in a slow curve up, then down the page. Then make a closed loop with that line!

    To the right of that image, bring the pen down the page in a vertical line, then draw a smaller horizontal line just above the middle of the first line!
