Bands Me and Rob Can Think of Named After Geographic Entities

We're in the car and Carry On My Wayward Son just came on the radio. It's a weird group. Please suggest more. It has to be JUST the place name. No "Manhattan transfer" or "Alabama shakes" or "Amarillo claim jumpers" (last one made up)

I'll be honest: I totally didn't get that this was both his name and a state until I saw it spelled out.

It's German for Greenland. And a band from Montreal

  20. Texas
Scottish pop rock band. Had a number of British hits but never really made an headway here in the US. Probably because everyone was confused why a Scottish band that sing pop rock songs would name themselves Texas.

  21. Spain
I absolutely love this underrated band from the 90s. The leader is the brother of the Haden triplets (Petra, Tanya & Rachel who often play in That Dog and have worked with Beck & Weezer). Spain was grouped with the slowcore scene along with Low but have a smokier Jazz feel to their sound.
