My wonderful brother gave me an ice cream maker for Christmas a few years back.
  3. β€’
And I used it to make a pear and port sorbet that was perfect.
  4. β€’
And a blueberry Malbec ice cream that was πŸ‘„πŸ‘ŒπŸΌ
  5. β€’
    I am a great cook.
This is bragging, but also true.
  6. β€’
But I make shit up a lot and throw in whatever ingredients/brands I have.
  7. β€’
I bastardize recipes willy-nilly with no regard for rules or measuring.
  8. β€’
This generally works well for me.
  9. β€’
I have a kind of sixth sense about food.
I also have the thighs to prove it πŸ™ƒ
  10. β€’
But in this instance it means I'll never have the same perfect delicious ice cream twice.
  11. β€’
For when the experience makes everything taste perfect.

    Dar's Dairy Delight, Marblehead, Ohio
The roof was a giant soft serve ice cream cone that blew off one year.
  13. β€’
    Cicero's in Interlochen, Michigan
They used to have huge ice cream cones (like 30 years ago??) but now they just serve pizza.

    Friendly's Ice Cream, Cincinnati, Ohio
When I was little my mom and dad would take me and my brother to Friendly's and my dad and I would split a Jim Dandy sundae and my brother and mom would split a banana split.

    Whippi-Dip in Muskegon, Michigan
Vanilla soft serve, rainbow sprinkles, sunshine, tie-dye t-shirts.
  16. β€’
House of Flavors in Manistee, Michigan
Rock n roll, ice cream for breakfast, if you're cranky, go home.
  17. β€’
Finding dimes in the sand at Stonelick Lake and getting bubblegum ice cream pops or Mickey ice cream heads.
The lake is still there but the concession is long gone.
