I thought I would start to feel better. I still don't. But I'm thinking about the things I can do.
  1. I'm talking to my elected officials in the legislative branch. I'm contacting them to remind them that one of their most important constitutional obligations is to check the power of the executive branch.
  2. I'm donating to organizations committed to protecting our civil liberties, civil rights, women's rights, immigrant rights, and the environment.
  3. I'm subscribing to the New York Times. Never before has the fourth estate been more important, and budget cuts have compromised their ability to do in depth, boots on the ground reporting. I have been guilty of consuming media without paying for it, but I'm putting my money where my mouth is.
  4. I think donating to your local NPR station is important
