My husband and I like to have game nights (with two small children, fun nights in are important). Any suggestions on new games for us to play? I've Listed the ones we play or have played below.
  1. Ticket to Ride
We played this once or twice and had fun but for some reason my husband is resistant to playing again.
  2. Pandemic
I got this for Christmas and we just finished our first round, which inspired this List. 💯
  3. Rummy/Rummikub
They are similar but Rummy is with cards and Rummikub is with tiles. My husband wins Rummy 80% of the time and I win Rummikub 80% of the time.
  4. Cribbage
I played this with my grandma when I was tiny... The husband and I tried to play it but it didn't go over that well.
  5. Uno
Not as fun with only 2 people.
  6. War
  7. Speed/Spit
I don't need the adrenaline, tbh.
  8. Nertz!!!
My favorite card game of all!!! It's like a multi player solitaire!!♥️♣️♦️♠️

  9. Hive
Like chess but with insects. Prevent the enemy from surrounding your queen bee at all costs. Dynamic, fast, and crazy addicting 🐝🐞🐜🕷

  10. Dominion

Deck building game. Pretty easy to learn, takes longer to master. Really fun once you get the hang of it and each game is really different. Can play with up to 4 players I think but we can spit out 2 player games in about 30 min

  11. King's Corner
A card game. Here's a link to the instructions. We played this with two players while travelling. Games can be pretty quick

  12. Forbidden Island
Kind of like Pandemic in that you work together and play against the game.

  13. Carcassonne!

I like playing this best with two people because you have better chances of completing your walled cities 🏰

    A classic.

  15. Quoridor
super easy to learn & play but gets addicting quick! (I've only ever played 2 players but it works for up to 4!)

  16. Lost Cities
By game design legend Reiner Knizia, this is a great, simple, fast-playing, and really interesting 2p game.

  17. Carcassonne: The Castle
Another Knizia game, this is a great 2p tile-laying game. I'm not a huge fan of the main Carcassonne family, but Knizia mixes it up and makes it more interesting.

  18. Ascension: Storm of Souls
Ascension is a terrific deck-builder, sort of a cousin to Dominion but with a little more depth and nuance without adding any complexity (it's quite simple). There are a bunch of sets available now, but this one is one of my favorites (most of them are good). There is a really terrific implementation of it on iOS and you can play a game in 10 minutes or so. You can play 2-4p but 2p is best.

  19. Takenoko

  20. Neuroshima Hex
All the glory of miniature wargame, none of the hassle.
