1972-Robert Redford stars as Bill McKay, running for the US Senate from CA. You wonder if he'd being played by the Democratic Party machine. But who is playing whom? Timely, if you enjoy comparing today's political maneuverings with the past. Serious.

  21. Play Misty for Me
    Static
1972-Clint Eastwood (during his hunk days) plays a DJ living in Carmel, CA who meets a very 'attentive' fan, brilliantly played by Jessica Walter- you know her as Lucille Bluth from Arrested Development. It's a thriller and that's all I'm saying 🙊

  22. What's Up Doc
    Static
1972-Barbra Streisand & Ryan O'Neal star in a slapstick comedy that will crack you up. Set in San Francisco, there a mixup with some bags which starts the chaos. Very '70's in every way. Peter Bogdanovich directs. Buck Henry one of the writers.

  26. @bjnovak I love After Hours also but it came out in 1985 so not a 70's movie. As a replacement I would suggest The Wild Geese or The Gauntlet. Two gritty, dramatic and unique films. Action movies were a lot different in the 1970's.
