QUIET STRENGTH IS

Reminders for myself on what I need to do to stop disappearing in my own life and be a better wife and mom.
  1. Quiet strength is having boundaries
    I must know and quietly insist on what is ok and what is not ok to me.
  2. Quiet strength is refraining from the urge to prove myself or my beliefs.
  3. Quiet strength is learning to say no.
    Saying yes and then being resentful is weakness and fear speaking.
  4. Quiet strength is believing in my own value.
    It's the opposite of judgement and self righteousness.
  5. Quiet strength is asking for what I need.
  6. Quiet strength is not disappearing.
    Conflict is sometimes unavoidable.
  7. Quiet strength is trusting that people are doing the best they can.
  8. Quiet strength is not taking things personally.
  9. Quiet strength is the resolve to stand firm in my convictions and let other people own their reactions.
