Tips From A Non-Parent Who Really Has No Right To Give Out Advice

  1. Everytime the ice cream truck plays music it means it's all out of ice cream. 😂
  2. Read to your kids early and often
  3. Sometimes the simple things are the most important. (Playing with boxes, making forts, lemonade stands, pick up games,etc.)
  4. When they ask you questions answer them don't just say because I said so. Curiosity is very important and it needs to be nurtured in children and not shut down.
  5. Teach kindness, caring, and unselfish behavior.
  6. There's no such thing as girl toys and boy toys, girl clothes and boy clothes, girl shows and boy shows, or girl jobs and boy jobs.
  7. Take care of yourself because you can't give yourself to them completely unless you are mentally and physically healthy.
  8. Share your favorite movies, books, and music with your kids.
  9. Teach your kids to swim, ride bikes, rollerblade, or whatever your outdoor hobbies are.
  10. Give them boundaries.
  11. Let them eat junk food and vegetables.
  12. Play in the rain.
  13. Give hugs and piggie backs.
  14. Love unconditionally.
  15. Enjoy each other.
